M&S Swindon supports local charity SNDogs

We are very pleased to announce M&S Swindon have chosen SNDogs as their local charity partner for 2016.

Selected by staff at M&S Swindon, the independent local charity cares for neglected and stray dogs until they are found a new home. As their Charity of the Year, M&S Swindon has pledged to host a variety of fundraising activities throughout the next 12 months.

The charity and store have already kicked off their fundraising activities, raising £150 through a customer bag packing day. Over the next 12 months, the Swindon team will undertake a variety of activities, including quizzes, cycling challenges, cake sales and much more.

James Shorney, Store Manager at M&S Swindon, said: “My team is hugely committed to supporting local good causes and SNDogs is a fantastic charity, grown from a very simple love of dogs and a pledge that no animal should be neglected. The charity is a cause close to our hearts and one we can’t wait to help support.”

Clare Fantini-Stephens from SNDogs, added: “We were extremely pleased when we found out that M&S Swindon chose us as their Charity of the Year. We rely completely on the support from the public and their generous donations enable us to continue to care for neglected dogs.

“We want to see every dog in Swindon live a healthy life and find a happy home, and M&S Swindon’s support will allow us to continue our work within the local community.”

As well as taking in neglected dogs, the charity also provides advice and support for new owners, including neutering assistance, training, microchipping and promoting responsible dog ownership. SNDogs works with Swindon Borough Council as well as other agencies to improve the lives of Swindon’s dogs in need.
