SNDogs Update: May 2016

The SNDogs Events Team have been busy over the past couple of months with street collections in Freshbrook, Highworth and Marlborough, plus a stall at the Family Fun Day at Wootton Basset Rugby Club and Chippenham Fun Day, plus an indoor Car Boot Sale.

A big ‘thank you’ must go to the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon, who kindly donated 2 pairs of tickets to the ‘Mission Impudseyble’ performances which took place at the end of March. The Wyvern held bucket collcations at the end of each performance and we even had our picture taken with Ashleigh and Pudsey!

Come and join our Events Team!

Now that the days are longer (and warmer) we will be out and about at many events in Swindon and the local area. We always need people who can help out at our various fundraising events such as street collections, supermarket bag packing, stalls and dog shows. Some of these often need a full day’s commitment, or at least a few hours.

Why volunteer with SNDogs? Well, in her own words, Darlene, one of our seasoned volunteers says…

“I read an article in the Swindon Advertiser and knew I wanted to volunteer to help SNDogs. I find it rewarding especially when our dogs are given that extra love and care before finding a forever home. I wanted to meet like-minded people to help raise much needed funds through events, street collection and auctions – all for a worthy cause.”

We need dogs at most events, so we also need people who can transport the dogs form the foster homes to the events, spend the day with the dog at the sall and walk them around, talking to potential new owners and raising awareness of SNDogs, and then take them back to their foster family at the end of the day.

Could you become an SNDogs superstar volunteer?
